Autism Assessment

This training covers:

  • The neurodiversity affirming paradigm + the social model of disability.

  • The neurobiology of autism.

  • The diagnostic criteria and underlying constructs behind these.

  • Non-diagnostic features of autism.

  • Differential and co-diagnoses to consider.

  • The assessment process, from intake to feedback.

  • Assessment tools, including comparison of the ADOS-2 and MIDGAS-2.

  • Factors in clinical reasoning.
