This training covers:

  • The neurodiversity affirming paradigm + the social model of disability.

  • The neurobiology of ADHD and what factors impact ADHD presentation.

  • Differential and co-diagnoses to consider.

  • Pathways to assessment and diagnosis.

  • The assessment process: intake to feedback.

  • The role of neurocognitive testing in ADHD assessment.

  • Factors in clinical reasoning.

This training covers:

  • The neurodiversity affirming paradigm + the social model of disability.

  • The neurobiology of autism.

  • The diagnostic criteria and underlying constructs behind these.

  • Non-diagnostic features of autism.

  • Differential and co-diagnoses to consider.

  • The assessment process, from intake to feedback.

  • Assessment tools, including comparison of the ADOS-2 and MIDGAS-2.

  • Factors in clinical reasoning.

This training covers:

  • Underlying cognitive skills and neurobiology underpinning the WISC-V subtests and subdomains.

  • Functional translation of these skills – what do these skills actually look like at home and school?

  • Common cognitive profiles for neurodivergent kids (including Autism, ADHD, and learning disorders) and how to identify and interpret these.

  • Beyond the index scores – what other scores and data should we be looking out for and what do they mean?

  • Discrepancy analysis discussion, through a case example.

  • Tips on feedback and reporting of WISC-V results.

  • Conceptual developments in the WAIS-5 (due for release in Australia and NZ this year) and how these map onto WISC-V domains and concepts.
